Dental Crowns in Houston & Katy, TX

At Chloe Dental in Houston,TX, Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Ho can restore your damaged tooth with a natural-looking crown in one visit. Our state-of-the-art Cerec CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) technology allows us to create your custom crown in a single office visit. No more temporary crowns followed by additional office visits prior to receiving your permanent crowns. The 3D Cerec technology allows our team to make these porcelain crowns very precisely for long-lasting, natural results.

Cerec CAD/CAM technology houses a camera, computer and milling machine in one instrument. Digital imaging captures a picture of the damaged tooth and eliminates the need for uncomfortable impressions.

The optical “impression” is transferred and displayed on a color computer screen, where the dentist uses 3D technology to design your new crown. Then, CAM takes over and creates the crown while you wait. The dentist bonds the crown to the surface of the old tooth, and you’re ready to go. The whole process takes about two hours.

Ms. A presented at our office wanting to fix her upper front teeth because they were discolored and uneven. The four upper front teeth had resin bonding that were placed there to fill in the gaps between her upper teeth. Ms. A simply wants her veneers to look like her teeth and natural. Dr. Chloe made and delivered the four veneers the same day. Ms. A loves her veneers.

Porcelain veneer – a thin piece of porcelain placed over the front surface of a tooth.

Porcelain crown – a piece of porcelain that covers the entire tooth.

Porcelain bridge – a piece of porcelain containing an artificial tooth that is used to restore missing teeth by anchoring to adjacent supporting teeth.

Six upper veneers were made and delivered the same day for Mrs. S.

“My experience has been nothing but positive and enjoyable. Dr. Chloe and the team in Houston are amazing!! I had a crown done, and she took her time to explain everything and answer any questions I had. I went back for fillings and the laser did not give me any sensitivity to my teeth. I would strongly recommend her services.”

Our young patient, Ms. C, has congenitally missing two upper lateral incisors. She was treated orthodontically at our office and the two spaces were treatment planned for future implant placements. Upon releasing her from braces, Dr. Chloe bonded two porcelain Maryland bridges which were made at our office and delivered the same day. The replacement porcelain teeth are fixed and none of her adjacent teeth were altered in the making of the bridges. When Ms. C is ready to restore the spaces with dental implants, the bridges can be removed safely.

Mrs. M presented at our office requesting to have two upper front crowns done. Dr. Chloe informed Mrs. M that her bad bite has caused her teeth to break and orthodontic treatment is necessary to correct her bite and straighten her teeth prior to having the crowns placed. Mrs. M so frowned on the idea of wearing braces in her fifties that she told Dr. Chloe that she “would find another dentist to do just the two crowns.” It took Mrs. M a while to deliberate and in the end she chose to undergo orthodontic treatment for 18 months. Upon releasing her from braces, Mrs. M had KoR teeth whitening done, a process that took 3 weeks to remove the ever-so-resistant Tetracyline stain from her teeth. Finally, the highly anticipated two crowns were put in to complete her smile. Mrs. M loves the result and what she found unexpectedly was that she no longer develops jaw pain from chewing on the right side. She kept reminding Dr. Chloe how glad she was that she invested time in correcting her bite.

Mr. B had an implant crown that was done over 15 years ago by another clinician. Dr. Chloe promised Mr. B that she could make him an implant crown that would resemble the rest of his teeth. Mr. B was very excited because he did not think that it was at all possible. Mr. B had KoR teeth whitening done prior to having done prior to having the crown replaced. Dr. Chloe designed, made, and stained the crown to match the rest of his teeth.

Her front tooth broke off unexpectedly and Ms. D wants a replacement tooth ASAP as she had a very special event to attend to that weekend. Several dentists recommended extracting the tooth and placing an implant in its place, a procedure that is lengthy and requires her to wear a removable denture tooth for 6 months prior to restoring the implant. She did not want a removable prosthesis and so her only solution was a fixed bridge, a procedure where the adjacent teeth are cut for crowns and used as anchoring teeth for the replacement tooth. Ms. D did not want to damage her healthy adjacent teeth as she does intend to get an implant in the future. She came to our office seeking for a treatment plan that fits her needs. Dr. Chloe bonded a porcelain Maryland bridge made and delivered the same day. (A Maryland bridge is a replacement porcelain tooth that has a porcelain veneer attached to it. The veneer is then bonded in the back of one adjacent tooth was done in this process. No alteration/ damage to the adjacent tooth was done in this process. With care this bridge can last a very long time. When Ms. D is ready to have the implant placed, the bridge can be removed without any damage to the adjacent teeth.) She’s ecstatic with the result!
