Braces in Houston & Katy, TX
Everyone notices a great smile and it’s never too late to get one! At Chloe Dental, we offer several types of braces including traditional braces and clear aligners to help you or your loved one achieve a beautiful and memorable smile. We also treat jaw deficiency and misalignment with the use of intra-oral appliances.
At Chloe Dental, we have a wide variety of fixed traditional braces options to choose from. We offer silver braces, gold braces, and ceramic tooth-colored braces.
Whether you would benefit from treatment with traditional, ceramic or silver braces or clear aligners, and whether you will need any orthodontic appliances in conjunction with your braces or aligners, we’ll work with you to develop a comprehensive plan that will boost the health and beauty of your smile. What is the appropriate age to start braces in children? At Chloe Dental, we treat our young patients as early as 6 years of age. The goals of early treatment are to develop both the upper and the lower jaws sufficiently to accommodate all of the permanent teeth and to correctly relate the upper and lower jaws to each other.
Because children are growing rapidly, they can benefit enormously from an early orthodontic/orthopedic treatment. Orthodontic appliances can be used to correct the jaw shape and direct the growth toward an ideal relationship between the upper and lower jaws. A good foundation can be established, thereby providing adequate room for eruption of all permanent teeth.
Early treatment can prevent the later removal of permanent teeth to correct overcrowding and surgical procedures to align the upper and lower jaw. Should a child who has been treated with functional appliance(s) grows up and needs orthodontic treatment to correct minor crowding, the length of treatment is typical shorter and the treatment is simpler. We have seen that some of our patients who were treated with functional appliances at an early age do not orthodontic treatment later because the appliances have created enough room to accommodate the permanent teeth. Depending on the age of the patient and the condition of malocclusion, our doctors will recommend orthodontic appliances only or both orthodontic appliances and orthodontic treatment or orthodontic treatment only. Leaving a maloclussion untreated until all of the permanent teeth erupt could result in a jaw discrepancy too severe to allow achievement of an ideal result with braces alone.
When your teeth are healthy and beautifully aligned, your confidence soars because you feel good about the way you look. People are attracted to you because they want to get to know the person behind that stunning smile. If your smile is falling short of your expectations, Dr. Chloe Nguyen and Dr. Langley Ho can offer many solutions to rejuvenate your smile and facial appearance.
